Reformer Pilates

Reformer Pilates is done by using the Pilates reformer machine and is generally more intense and more dynamic than mat mat-based Pilates workout. The system of springs attached to the apparatus creates a resistance which from one side engages with targeted muscle groups and on the other side elongates them.

The mobility of the carriage creates an unstable surface that reinforces engagement of the deep stability postural muscles along with the core muscles. The reformer machine itself guides the movement to re-establish skeleto-muscular balance in the body.
